It's been a while since I've had proper Italian. It seems redundant when you're having pizzas at pizza joints, pasta at a noodle shop (or Mom's in Detroit, I reviewed that a couple of weeks ago), or even a minestrone soup with a burger. But I'm here to tell you that's not the same as a proper Italian sit-down restaurant. Or god forbid, a cheesecake factory. So here I am. And I'm very glad I did. This place is great. Admittedly, the decor is understated, but the service was best in class. Casual, professional, accommodating the vagaries of my colleagues with a nod and a smile. Relax and let them guide you. Now for the food. We all ordered quite differently, ranging from pizza to pasta to beet salad. The pizza came out with a fantastic airy puffed rind with a touch of char, yet perfectly thin crust under the toppings. Win one. The pastas were nicely all dente, puttanesca toppings nicely turned into a nest of noodles. Win two. The lasagna was well balanced, the ragu not too meaty, not too doughy. Win three. Yesterday I searched Google Maps for a good restaurant to eat at with my mom and siblings. We went in with high expectations, and in the end, everything was wonderful! Chris, our server, gave us wonderful service, recommended delicious dishes, and made sure we were taken care of. It’s wonderful when we find places and service like the one we received. At the end, Chris gave us a Tupperware container to take our food home. I loved the service and the food, and my siblings loved the tiramisu. Thank you, Chris, for your service :)

Had Easter Brunch this afternoon with family of 22. Cannot overstate how pleased we all were, ages 1 to 80. Pizza/pasta excellent as usual and great staples for the little ones. The Antipasta recalled our visits to Italy with fresh artichokes, marinated vegetables, and chunks of intense aged parmesan (unlike any antipasta we have been served in the Woodlands area). The carving tabled held seafood and worthy prime rib, chicken. We were offered every version of prepared on the spot breakast foods and baked pastries. The desert table was visited more than once. We felt very fortunate with our excellent servers who were there to please. We took few photos but will return.

We had John as our server, how wonderful he was! Very personable, very professional, and accommodating. As someone with a lot of food allergies, I was able to get a specially made custom dinner (plain pasta with olive oil, garlic, and shrimp on the side), also presenting me with a gluten free bread roll appetizer option, absolutely delicious. Overall, John did an exceptional job serving my family and i tonight and we would definitely return.

Located inside the Westin Hotel and they serve all day. If you are a Platinum Bonvoy member or above, this is where you get your free breakfast, forget the 1K points. Mon-Fri you choose from a set menu but on the weekends you get to have the buffet with multiple options and a choice of made to order omelets, waffles, or pancakes. Service and food are good and the atmosphere is very nice.
